Nice, I like it, cant wait to see what kind of numbers it puts down.

Those arent hardware store bolts in the main caps are they?

Hopefully not. The ProGram main caps are held down by Milodon studs (ARP) in the middle and non-ARP grade 8 bolts on the outsides that the machine shop uses for splayed caps and one smaller diameter ARP bolt on the one where the dipstick goes for clearance reasons. The top picture shows the short ARP main studs in the middle, but those were changed to the Milodons accommodate the windage tray. It was a little bit of a pain because they all needed to be torqued differently & with different lubes and I did them all 3 times to break in the threads to get the torque to be accurate. It should stay together - it's pretty much overbuilt down there anyway.

That is a wonderful sight. The LT1 is such a sexy motor, and looks great in red, too.

Yeah, I'm in the process of powdercoating the intake manifold red. I blasted it and have it all taped off and plugged. My buddy has a powdercoater and an oven to bake it in.

I did my timing cover & water pump with one of those kits from Harbor Freight. Fun to use and seems to work pretty good! I bought it for "work" and we have a oven there to cook them in. the only thing is that I think the quality isn't good as industrial, though.

That is exactly what we have... HF stuff, blasting cabinet and powdercoater. My buddy's dad has an old kitchen oven in his garage for baking stuff. Cheap and easy, with great results.

Here's the parts I coated - not perfect, but better than paint. Gotta mask it good or it gets everywhere. After not doing such a good job masking the timing cover, It took me about an hour to mask the water pump...

What oil pan did you decide to run with? do you have the part # for the those ARP studs for use with the windage tray?

I used the stock pan with the long Milodon studs (which say ARP on the nuts) that specifically are for the Diamond Stripper Windage tray. I trimmed 2 of the studs near the shallow end (front) to fit under the pan and had to bend the tray flat near the front also for clearance. I had to mess witht he dipstick area as well, but most of the trouble fitting it was due to the large main caps in the way - see the cutouts I made near the caps. You can get the parts at Summit.

So what kind of numbers are expected once the blower is strapped on?
