Header and Steering Shaft clearance

I was looking at the column and it looked like it was sitting slightly toward the pass. side (not angled). So, there may be enough there to get it to clear.

    If it truly needs a 1/4" off, then I wouldn't take the shaft down that far. The lower half of the steering shaft takes some beating from the rack and you don't want to lose your steering while flyin' down the highway!

      Yeah, dremelling isn't at the top of the list...yet lol. I'm going to see what adjusting the column will do.

        If you can't readjust the angle of the column........
        If you can turn the steering wheel and there is only mild contact, you'll only need to remove a small amount. It wouldn't affect anything but cosmetics.

          Well, time for an update. Craig dropped by today and moved the column around...and now there's plenty of clearance. I'll add this to my Header Install Tips thread as well. Thanks again Craig and everyone who posted here

              Nope, I checked where it was and noticed that it couldn't go into the rack anymore
