Probably not a good title to this thread, but a title no-the-less. Friday while I was out last minute Christmas shopping, I noticed dripping from underneath the TA. It was wet in places outside so I assumed I went through a puddle and it was just excess water dripping from underneath. Anway I got home put the car in the garage and the sweet smell of coolant hit me in the face. So I ivestigated, found the leak, and took off the water pump. I ordered a pump from the only place that could get it to me the next day because no one had them in stock. Any way here's where things got wierd. Saturday morning I got a call fairly early from the parts store, which was awsome because I hate my car being down. I went as fast as the expedition would take me to get my new part. I opened the box to insure the part was the same and as always it wasn't. The new pump had holes to bolt on a pulley, and mine was pressed on.
After some researched I learned that those water pumps came on the 2000 and up engines, but my car was made in April of 1999. Is there anyway to find out if my engine has been replaced under warranty with me not being the original owner?
