I just wanted to come back to the site and thank all of you guys for your help and inspiration. Shoebox's tech aids and the responses from those who read the threads helped me to get my car running. Here are some pics for you of the completed car. She runs like a bat-out-of-hell (even with her 4100# bulk)!

Holy heck, Man! What ever possessed you to put an LT1 in a station wagon? I'll bet it'll haul tail now, though. Good sleeper idea too. I can just see the look on a rustang driver's face when you blow his doors off in that thing.

It's a long story, Todd. The short version is: I just wanted my Moby-girl to have some respectable horsepower, and fuel injection; so I went on Ebay and found this engine for $1500, complete (tranny, harnesses, 'puter, 94K miles). It was a terrible fight, ma, but I won!!!

Moby is one of the most comfortable, smooth-running cars I've ever owned, but she felt like she was dragging and anchor behind her. Not anymore!!! I'm just champing at the bit for someone to give me a load of shit for driving my gramma's car so I make make them feel puny.

I had a 69 Chevrolet Kingswood Estate Wagon with a 427 in it. I called it the Stealth Bomber.

Strangely coincidental that my brother drove for years and several hundred thousand miles in a white Oldsmobile 98 that was nicknamed "Moby".

I rather like the clean sides, it was one of the main reasons my wife and I bought her - she looked sexier (if you can say that about a station wagon), sportier than most.

We had a 71 Kingswood - best damn station wagon ever made!

Very nice.... all it needs is a Magnacharger blower sitting on top of the manifold.... gobs of torque, way down low, where Moby needs it.
