Does anyone know what shocks work well with Eibach springs? I have the KYB's and they absolutely suck. That car hits so hard with any little or hard bump, and gets all over the place. I was thinking of the Q45 shocks adjustable or the Koni Adjustables. Will adjustables smooth out the ride and give the car less punishment?

no there not the adjustables. I wish they were or they would be on the softest setting for these damn bad NYC and NJ roads.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2317021/1

You really need to know which springs you have to pick a shock - virtually imossible without knowing that. The Pro-Kit drops the car 1.25-1.50", the Sportlines drop it 2".
I don't think you will have much luck with the Pro-Kits. I had them on my Forumla for a while, and with the QA1/HAL 12-way adjustables, it was impossible to find a setting that worked. Main problem was in the back, where the entire rear of the car moved up and down with a "chop" that made it look like a slammed S-10 riding on the axle. Loosening the shocks just elimiinated any control at all over the rear of the car.
Try this source for the most reliable info on shock selection for the 4th Gens...... be prepared to pay big $$$$$$:

You are asolutely right injuneer. Thats what my rear feels like to the T. I have the Pro Kits with the 1.2-1.5 drop. The rear just hits horrible and its terrible the moment I hit any kind of rough rds. I know its the shocks because I had KYBs installed on my truck and the truck felt the same way. Just wondering if anyone else has the eibach pro kit, and what shocks are working for them. I rather pay good money for a better running ride.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2317021/1

I have the sportlines with the stock shocks and struts and whenever you go over a pothole it feels like the suspension is hitting the bump stops, It's pretty bad Because I too live in NY and travel to NJ and CT. What model KYB's are you guys talking about because the AGX's seemed halfway decent for the money, I'm looking for Koni Reds but they are ALOT OF MONEY!!! damn, keep me posted

I was definately thinking of the Koni's too. I have the KYB non adjustables. I am still
on anyone who has this problem or what works best.

I have the Pro-kit with regualr Bilsteins. The ride is acceptible at best. Somewhat choppy when the road gets bad...but in Atlanta, where the roads are relatively smooth, the ride is fine and good control.
Injuneer is right though...it's hard to pair up the Pro-Kit.

I run DMS progressive rate springs on my 97 with stock shocks ...the ride seems better than with the stock springs..but then I avoid bad roads as much as I can. As far as handeling the car seems to handle better but again I dont push it to the edge1997 Trans AM WS6 vert
