wow
wow man.... i change my plugs and wires at least once a yr. not because i have to, but just to make sure im getting all that i can from it. i would get new wires if i were u. its up to u on what to get. I have MSD wires on my TA but ur lookin at 80-100 on wires. u could always just get the shop brand, and use those. alot cheaper and a good quick fix.

Do you have the little metal shields on the spark plug boots? If so take them off and see if it still misses.2002 Electron Blue Vette, 1SC, FE3/Z51, G92 3.15 gears, 308.9 RWHP 321.7 RWTQ (before any mods), SLP headers, Z06 exhaust, MSD Ignition Wires, AC Delco Iridium Spark Plugs, 160 t-stat, lots of ECM tuning

Oh yes. You can see them arcing in the dark. I don't quite understand why since they are not grounded to anything.
True story, I put a set of wires on my car. I took the metal shields off the stock wires and stuck them on the new wires. I cranked it up and it was obviously completely missing on at least 1 cylinder. My neighbor across the street builds major engines for a living heard it and came walking over. He asked what was going on and I told what I had done. He slid up under it and ripped the covers off and said try it now. Sure enough it fixed it. I was amazed. I've seen it several times on the board too.2002 Electron Blue Vette, 1SC, FE3/Z51, G92 3.15 gears, 308.9 RWHP 321.7 RWTQ (before any mods), SLP headers, Z06 exhaust, MSD Ignition Wires, AC Delco Iridium Spark Plugs, 160 t-stat, lots of ECM tuning

But appears you are saying it idles fine when its cold, but only idles rough when it warms up?????
That can often be a problem with the O2 sensors, throwing the A/F ratio off when it goes into closed loop.Fred

Good take re OEM factory accessories that fail after servicing! Dont get me started on plastic parts for Alfas...Originally posted by Joe 1320Heck yeah. So many times they work from the factory, as soon as you change plugs and wires the dang things cause arcs.
I'm going AC wires and NGK Tr55 copper plugs.Mike, So. MD, USA
