Should have stated that I get the filter from Autozone until Advance started to carry them...too bad WalMart only carries FRAM.

Man, I haven't been to that one in years...I usually pick mine up at the Wal Mart off 78.

I use mobile 1 in just about everything I drive. Filter, I like mobile 1 and k & n. On mine, I put together my own oil filter relocation kit, so I can use the BIG PH8A ford style filter. This is one area to NOT SKIMP on. Fluids and filters. They keep everything expensive alive.

I have a couple friends that swear by Lucas. Yet I have still never used it.
My Boss swears by Duralube. I have seen it do wonders as well.

Scenario: His 93 Chevy Silverado, 350 engine, 250+k miles, Last winter, Starts truck with remote, runs for 15 minutes then shuts off after designated time is up, restarts with remote, runs about 10 more minutes til he leaves, drives about 10 miles to work, notices a slight knock, probably lifter, checks oil, low, doesn't even show on dipstick, pours 4 and some change quarts in until full, Starts truck again, looks underneath, oil pouring out, turns truck off, replaces worn and cracked oil cooler adapter ring seal and gasket, realizes he had the thing started for 25 minutes and drove it 10 miles with less than a half quart of oil in the pan, refill with oil and more duralube, drives home and sees 4+ quarts of oil on the ground where his truck was parked, continues to operate with absolutely no problems whatsoever till this day, 10+k miles later...

Does it work? Who knows? Do I use it? Yep, half quart, every other oil change.

The M302 filter is the same size as a PH8A/FL1A/M301.
