My brother has a 95 camaro and it is running poorly. he has had the codes checked by autozone twice getting a code referring to a truck transfer case?? and Hibdon completed an analyzer test or diagnostic test and found no problems. yet the car backfires, wehn you rev the motor to four grand the tach and motor rev up and down from 4000 to 3000. Also, he has to creep to get the car moving and if he gives it too much gas the rpms go up and he does not go anyfaster.
Is this a speed sensor problem or other sensor problem? I recently took out a loan for him to get the trans rebuilt but we donot want to do it if it is not necessary.
let me know what your opinions are and if you need the actual code number I'll have the car checked again this weekend.
the car has the v6 motor (3800 I think) auto trans ttops and after market dual exhaust. He is at his wits end and I am trying to help him get it back on the road again before he tears anything up by driving it in this condition.
thanks,
Jason
