I just spent all day putting all new speakers and Dynamat in my car. I had the hardest time getting the lock knobs on, and I finally quit trying because it is getting dark here (EST +8 hours). I'll take the door panels off again New Years day. What I would like to know is what is the best method for getting those little suckers on?

There is a trick to it. Once you know the trick they snap on in seconds.
It's a secret.
Here goes... the rod is bent at a 90. The bent part goes in the hole in the knob then the knob just snaps over the rod with a gentle push.Tracy

It also helps if you make a hook or something to reach in back of the lock rod to help pull it toward you as your snapping them on.2005 GTO (mine) K&N CAI and Magnaflow exhaust, drilled and slotted rotors, and other minor mods.

I've never had to hold the rod with anything. A gentle push and they snap right on.
I must be the lucky one.
