After all of the problems I had with a SPEC stage 2 I wouldn't recommend it to an enemy. I used a SLP and had no problems.

What about the standard SPEC stage 3? I have heard mostly positive things about it and it can handle just about any bolt-ons you throw at it.

For his few mods a stage 3 would be way over kill and make it not be a good daily driver. With his mods a stage 1 (organic) or a stock cutch (organic) would be just fine.

              NEVER GET SPEC!!!

They're Customer service is Trash. I went through 2 Spec clutches in 3 months. The worse clutches ever and if you happen to question they're product they will blame you that you installed something wrong.

I say go with the DF from Centerforce or something. If it was an LSx engine I would never recommend anything more than the LS7 Clutch.

Like I said, Just about every story Spec that i have read is -

Except the guys that are running the stage 3+ setups but thats not for DD.

Im just going to buy a bucket and drive that until I save up enough for a trans rebuild.

I gotta tell ya man, I went with another stock clutch and new flywheel from GM and couldnt be happier. I have minor bolt-ons including gears and better tires and it has held up for 40k miles and still going strong. Thats with alot of WOT and burnouts. But if you are going aftermarket, I was told DF centerforce.

i have heard the centerforce DF gives you a lot of chatter on launch. I think i will go OEM
