Hey guys,
I'm going to be installing a Pro 5.0 shifter into my Trans Am tomorrow, and I just had a few quick questions. First, any suggestions on how to keep shifter noise down? I've read that some people make gaskets for where the shifter meets the transmission (which i'm planning on doing), but are there any other steps I can take to prevent extra noise? My stock one has been rattling a bit lately and it drives me absolutely insane! Any special tips on adjusting the stop points for the shifter?
Thank you very much for any help!
Also, I have been noticing a decent amount of noise that is actually coming from inside the tranny (especially when you really get on it). Is this normal? I have a slight 3rd gear syncro problem, but other than that the transmission has been absolutely fine.
