    well i finally got a really good run in and my best was a 13.113 spinning a little in first and spining in second pretty good but a 13.113 @ 109 with a 2.2 60' ehhh the MPH is there for about a 12.5???

    Good job on street radials, now get a set of drag radials and you'll likely see a 1.9 60' time along with a high 12.9 ET. 12.5 is going to be tough without slicks.

      ooo everyone i talked to at the track was saying with a 109 trap speed i should be low 12s

        Just a tip.....

        Some cars aren't known for max ET for a given speed and f-bodies are one of them. Now if you ditch the entire rear differential and suspension, replace with a bulletproof rear with a 4 link and coil overs, you would see a much better ET for speed. The torque arm arrangment isn't bad, but it's nothing compared to a dedicated and well tuned 4 link.

          oook thanks cause its really weird on the street or other places im pulling on people that are running low 12s at the track and at the track im only pulling 13.1s.

            What you really need to do is look at the ET and speed at various points of the track. It's very possible for a 13 second car to pull on a 12 second car from a 60-100 mph roll, but if you race him off the line you would be watching his tail though the quarter mile. It's all about the powerband and how it's applied to the ground. If you had a stronger rear and more gear, combined with slicks and the proper suspension you could very well be at the lower 12s.

            I'll never forget a car that I saw about 25 years ago. It ran something like a 11.5 but at an ungodly 150 mph. Out of the hole is was really soft but by the 8th it was just plain cooking.

              ooo oki got what your saying. so do you think with a good rear with 373 and some really sticky tires i should be able to break around 12.7s or some where around there like a high 12 with a rear and tires?

                I think you'll need some suspension to max out your ET. Look for LCAs along with relocation brackets. That should make the most difference and eliminate wheel hop when launching.

                  i have no wheel hop at all it sticks firm to the ground just spins. this car has never EVER wheel hopped on me unless i go through a bumpy road

                    Tip #2.....

                    You won't hop if you aren't hooking. Once it hooks with slicks, it will likely hop severely due to an incorrect rear suspension geometry. Lower control arm relocation brackets lower the rear control arm attachment point to increase leverage and correct the car's instant center to a spot that is within the chassis. In everyday terms, that means when you launch, the rear shocks should extend..... because the chassis is trying to push the differential downward which according to physics 101, results in the body being lifted. There is a substantial increase in tire loading and traction.

                    If it were me, I would go with tubular lower control arms with poly bushings, lower control arm relocation brackets, air lift bags, adjustable panhard rod, adjustable torque arm and poly front mount, poly transmission mount. Dial in the Torque arm to 2-3º down and it should hook quite nicely.

                      thankyou guys soo much sorry for the ignorance but this is the first time its really came down to getting the power to the ground instead of just mashing the pedal ya know? lol so for all that im looking at what about 300-500? i got umi and they are only like 45 minutes up the road so i can save shipping

                              now for traction at the track i dont wanna lower my car correct? cause i heard if you lowered your car you didnt hook as well
