1979 T/A W72 Y89 M21 10th Anniversary Edition

For $21k did I miss out on a great deal for an untouched 18k mile '79 T/A with all paperwork, everything original including tires, even the clock works. Owner showed it to me last night but I was 1 hour too late. Broker from Maryland bought the car over the phone. Please tell me I would have overpaid. Thanks

For a '79? With at best the Olds 401 engine? Even as a 10th anniversary in what you're describing as nearly perfect, I would have considered that overpaying. But, to each their own.

This T/A didn't have the Olds 403, most did but this car has the 220hp Pontiac 400. Last year the Pontiac 400 was available.

Spot on. Some even had a 4.9 liter 301, but not the anniversary cars. Those got the larger Olds or Pontiac motor.


That anniversary car was a nice example.

LOL! My first TA was the 1980 Turbo with the 301..!! Beautiful car , white with the gold graphics , but pretty lagging in the horsepower dept. I got real familier with that motor over time from working on it .. lol

Before the economy went south, it would have sold for over 30K at auction. I wouldn't sell mine for anything less then 22K. My signature describes mine.

mann thats one good looking ride, i sure would like to see some resto's any color besides black, there were some great color schemes back in the day.
