My hibeams no longer work because when I pull back on the turnsignal lever it does not click them on. There is no force back against the lever and it does not even turn the hibeams on when I hold it back. What do I need to do to fix this. Should I just go to a junk yard and buy a new turnsignal?

Sounds like the switch is bad. Here is the switch http://shbox.com/ignsw/column2.jpg Here is the switch removed http://shbox.com/ignsw/column3.jpg Here are the instructions for replacing the ignition switch which is right beside the dimmer switch http://shbox.com/ignsw/ign_switch_repl.html . You can use the instructions to get to the dimmer. Obviously ignore the part about replacing the ignition switch. I would advise you while you have it apart to look at the connector going to the ignition switch for heat damage like this http://shbox.com/ignsw/switch_conn2.jpg . The Gm part number for the dimmer switch is 26035242 $10.84 from http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/. The AC Delco part number is D805A $17.43 from http://www.carparts.com/ . http://www.carparts.com/parts/search...D805A&x=6&y=13 .
