it could still be the belt...had that happen to me. went to the goodyear gatorbelt..no probs since..and its garranteed for life.
also could be the alternator bearing..how many miles on ur 99?. i dont think you need to change your pully's..ive not heard of anyone having to do that for a squeek.

About 5 years ago I had to replace my entire AC assembly, because the pulley was squeaking. I took it to a dealership to have it replaced, they of course replaced the tensioner pulley instead...had a rather large fiasco about that (that was the last time my car ever went to a dealership), I refused to pay and couldn't find another place to take it to that week...the very next week the pulley seized up and I had to have it towed to a garage to have it fixed.
If you know one of your pulleys is the culprit...FIX IT NOW...don't let the same thing happen to you.

Trying the gatorback belt first is a good idea, that just might shut it up, if it is the belt making noise and not a bearing.

thanks
thanks for all the help? one of my friends and I figured it out by taking off the main belt and then taking off the ac belt. the noise stopped after we took off the ac belt so im going to get a new one now because the other one looks like crap and has stuff in all the groves. Once again I thank you for all the help.
Thanks
Tony
