I was wondering if anybody have any tips and suggestions on what psi I should be running at the track and how much of a burn out do I have to do on the nittos? The nittos I have are on 16 x 8 stock trans am wheels. Any suggestions would be greatly apprecaited. Thanks.

I run around 15 PSI and heat the heck out of them. Big Burnout. However, my sixty foot times still suck, but this is the best technique that I have found.

You have to find out what psi runs best with your combo. So far, the best pressure for my car is 20-22psi.

I heat them up until I see smoke in the mirrors. Roll up to the line and go. Best so far is a 1.62.

Is that an automatic? My six speed has a SPEC stage 3 clutch and there is no slip. I either bog the engine out of the hole or smoke the tires through first gear. My best is a 1.9 sixty footer. I didnt use any nitrous that run (i was out) and I should have, because it would have been the 11 sec. run I've been trying for. I mostly run 2.0 - 2.1 sixty footers. I need slicks.

Yes, the TA is an automatic.

          When I had my 96 WS6, the best I cut on Nittos was 1.75. That was a 4.10, 6spd car. Ran 12.4@111.

Well, either im a sucky driver or that stage 3 clutch is killing me. I had a stage 2 clutch in the car prior to this and it would slip bad when banging 2 and 3 and it was a brand new clutch. The stage 3 doesnt slip at ALL but I think its killing my launch. I am running a 3:73 gear.
