    Ken:

Yes...... Mike's "announcement from the "Drag Racing" forum at CamaroZ28.com, on 11-03-2003.....
    I did it! 10.89 @ 127mph

    Guys,

I finally made the 10's! I'm very happy. I started the quest on May 5th and it has taken me 6 "long" month's to reach my goal. It was not easy. The car was leaving the line "really" hard. It was lifting the front tire's about 6" off the ground. I'm not sure how long the stock rear end and trans. will hold up with 1.47 60 ft. times. I've been using 10.5-26-16 MT ET Streets. I think it's time for a roll bar also. I want to say thanks to "Injuneer" and "Guido".

    60' ... 1.474
    330 ... 4.429
    1/8 ... 6.907
    mph ... 99.63
    1000 ... 9.077
    1/4 ... 10.892
    mph ... 127.73

Actually, I'm not sure what I did to help him, other to give him a few suggestions on tires...... .... but I'm glad it helped.

    My response:
    Mike:

    Great time/mph!!

Basically, you are running the same MPH and better ET with a (almost) "stock" engine, tranny, stock rear and the same size shot. Kinda makes me wonder why I bought all those expensive parts.

I like the fact that you've done this with the NOS dry kit... I liked mine. Not many people appreciate the 5176.

I think Mike and I know more about the 5176 kit than most people. We have even had to confront a rep from NOS who posted some incorrect info on the CZ28.com "N2O" forum. When the guy from NOS jumped Mike, he jumped the wrong guy..... .

Sorry to butt in, but I CANT BELIEVE that 10 bolt is holding up! That gives me another vote to try out a set of slicks on my formula. I have never heard of such a thing.

Also, this guy doesnt seem to have a lot more done to his car than I do (unless thats an incomplete list of mods). Thats a real high trap speed for what he's got done. He must have some major porting and tuning done on that baby.
