the 2000 cobra R is probably one of the only mustangs that i would ever want to own. one because it looks bad the other because there were only like 300 or so made and they still go for like 60k after 3 years.
99 T/A WS-6
SLP strut tower brace, SLP sub-frame connectors, SLP intake, SLP Loudmouth exhaust, shift kit, SLP suspension system, SLP y-pipe
2004 Mineral Gray Mustang Mach1 (stock, but ordering the SLP Loudmouth)
88 IROC-Z, ZZ430 CRATE MOTOR, Flowmaster exhaust, MOSER 12-bolt with gears, and a few other mods.
I think one of the things that would keep me from owning one of those things, aside from the blue oval on the front, is the fact that the seats in the mustangs are so friggen crappy. It feels like you're driving a honda accord the way you sit in them. Not to mention the price on the Cobra R's. I dunno....I think I would rather have either a C5 or a highly modded SS or WS6 for that kind of money. Just my $0.02
I had many pony cars as rentals over the past couple of years. They were V6's though but they handled pretty good but only when it was dry. On wet roads they were not so great and on snow they were suicide. I lost one on a interstate. Luckily it didn't roll.
Since then I had no desire to even try a V8 version. I like the looks but then I'm not a big Ford fan.
But like my wife always says, if somebody handed me the key and said it's yours, I would drive it
