  • CAI / Ram air

I ran a search on this and could not find my answer - so here goes! Since I have the ram air option do I just want a K&N filter? Or do I still want a CAI kit? I was just going to get a K&N filter but started seeing "Whisper lid" in many of your sigs? I don't plan on going crazy with mods....well not yet at least! But I have always tinkered with the exhaust and intake - just never had a WS6 before so not sure what to do with it.

All you need is the drop in filter. CAI is another airbox/filter assembly that draws cold air from the fender area.

Thanks - I just didn't know if the CAI kits out there were an "upgrade" or at least enough of an upgrade to be worth doing.

Oh no no... you DO want to do the "Whisper Lid"...

It is a VERY simple mod. Just pluck the factory airbox lid off, and secure the less restrictive lid in place. Whisper makes one, so does SLP, and I have the MTI lid.

This is a very easy and cheap mod, and it is worth doing.
