I was just wondering what kind of mileage yall get. I get 17-18 miles to the gallon. But then again i rarely do any highway driving.

All I do is Highway Driving...then again, if you live in Atlanta (close enough to claim Atlanta)...all you do is drive on the highway. Me personally...I've seen 27 mpg. But I hover around 23-25 all day.

When I had my 2:73 I got 320 miles on a full tank. Now, with my 3:73, I get 280 miles on a full tank.

I get about 20-22 around town, but when I get on the highway I will get a solid 29 MPG with my 6-speed.

          With the 3.42's I'm at 19 city/24 highway.

Now before that....I got 29mpg on a 230 mile trip and 28 on the way back! That's 65 mph and going for max milage...no traffic.

Although 29-30 mpg highway is typical for my '98 6-speed WS6, it has gotten just over 32 mpg under certain conditions.

            Around town, considerably less.

              rear ends

Can I tell what gear ratio I have in mine by the vin or some other option?

I get about 19-20 no matter where I drive or how I drive.

look for the RPO code GU5 on your sticker (driver's side) I believe for A4's that code means 3.23 rear, otherwise it has a 2.73.

Hey Kevin, you can save another half a pound by taking out the flashlight.

My car must be running wrong b/c I'm gettin 15 mpg. I drive hard but I still think that is way low.

Maybe I should figure out why the SES light is on.....

Hey Mirroredshades, I had my stock fuel injectors removed and bench cleaned and went from 17 mpg highway to 24 mpg. It cost about $180 and was worth every penny. This was at about 70k miles.

Just curious, but had you tried a fuel injector cleaner prior to that? I use some about every other oil change.
