Concerning drive shafts, is it true that 1993 and 1994 LT1 cars with 6 spd came with unbalanced steel drive shafts, and that later 1995 and up cars got the aluminum ones?

I have a '95 Formula that came with a steel DS. I think all the '98 and newer cars came with the alum. DS. I got an Alum DS. for my car for about $188 if I remember correct.

93-97 had steel shafts except for 1LE cars. That was aluminum. Some cars had their steel driveshafts swapped for an aluminum 1LE shaft due to a TSB on unbalanced shafts. Mine happens to be one of them. 98 and up all got an aluminum shaft.
