ok i got this code on my car 2 days now its something with the evap system random purge? what exactely is that and how does it happen and what might cause it?

ok i think i found the problem
i have a 97 and on my evap system i got 2 switches it looks like. the air from the TB goes to the furtherback on but is that on top or on the bottom? i think when i put my baby back together i mized up the 2 hoses. ken you might know you got a 97 right?

The GM OBD-II code format, 1996 and newer F-Bodys is 4 digits:

1441 is "flow during non-purge"..... you can get that from Rob/Shoebox's list. Means the flow detector.... the gizmo BEFORE the solenoid is detecting a flow in the purge from the EEC canister when the purge solenoid is supposed to be closed. Could be a solenoid stuck open, or it could be a faulty flow detector. Not an unusual code and often hard to analyze.Fred
