  • Mr. Clean car wash...

Has anybody used that Mr. Clean car wash stuff that is supposed to dry spot free? Is it pretty much the same thing that the public car washes have? Because if so then I am not too impressed. I was just wondering if it works as advertised and would be a good way to wash the car prior to Zaino-ing to reduce water spots. Anybody have any input?

the solvents in it are going to dull your zaino finish.....

just remove the nozzle on the hose and sheet the water over the car on rinse..... drying is a snap.

      Not impressed.

Not a Zaino guy, quite, but the Mr. Clean Car wash thing is not cool. First, you have to use their substandard soap. Then, you switch it to a filter to spray on a light mist of soft water. The whole thing is good for someone who likes a clean car once every two weeks. Not for someone that wants a show car look. The huge thing is too big too, hard to handle because of its size.

With that said, if you still want one, I'll sell you mine cheap.

Forget the Mr Clean crap... order Zaino. It is a little more money, but the results are spectacular. I was a first time Zaino user last month, and i will never use anything else again. My 10 year old paint looks like new. People have actually commented on how shiny it is, without me saying a word to them.

I thought I read on its site that it has an inline water filter (to remove hard water solvents, impurities, etc) and you could use your favorite soap?

I think it wouldn't be a bad purchase if both of those criteria are true.

Thanks for the input, guys. I think I will save myself the money and just stick with the old drying in sections method. The freakin water is so hard in my area that I was almost willing to try anything, but oh well. I need to order some more Zaino for this spring, if it ever gets here.

We have hard water here too. I always wash indoors away from the sun, and keep the entire car wet until it is time to dry it. I dry with an "absorber". I've never had a problem with water spots.

Thats EXACTLY how I wash my vehicles...but there are always better ways of doing things....always. I wouldn't mind trying something new and see if someone else's way is better than mine.

Good point, it pays to be open minded... I could always hook my hose up to the sink in the laundry room and use soft warm water... (my wife would shoot me).. Maybe if I do it before she gets home from work... hmmm...
