Trust me I know how it feels to see a TA rumbling past you and then all of the sudden you realize just how much you have missed being in the driver's seat behind the wheel! I haven't driven my WS6 in about 9 months.
Sorry Kevin, I know you're eager to get in the T/A and complete your SS project...but think of it this way...when you complete your f-body, you will blow the doors off of 99.999999% of RACE cars. lol
I'm still at the stage where I can hope to blow away xx.xx% of street cars.

so how did the insurance work out? Did this mess cost you any out of pocket? I'm thinking they should had covered every cent of it because it was all resulted from the sugar in the tank, right?

I am flying to Seattle on Thursday to purchase the camaro. I can't wait to see my baby in person. I got lucky and the transport company is going to be there Thurs. evening. So the car should be here Monday or Tuesday. My motor is very close to being done so shouldn't be long once I get the car home!
Hey Craig, I mainly wanted to say congratulations! Also mention that I'll bet it "seems to idle a very tad bit on the rough side" because the PCM has more than likely reset with changing the battery etc... and probably needs to re-learn anyway after having leaky injectors. I'll bet it smooths out the rest of the way in a day or 2 of driving.

**-** BOOST, it's no replacement for displacement, and there's definitely no replacement for having both!
Kevin, it's great to hear your project is near completion. Please keep us posted!!
Tracy, I ended up paying a lot more than I would have liked out the the pocket. I tried fixing the problem myself by draining the tank and changing the filter, so buying a bunch of gas storage tanks, a new fuel filter, a new locking gas cap, and NOS fuel injector cleaner costed me ~$100. Then, the battery ended up costing me because the insurance won't cover a "wear and tear" item that was pretty old. For parts and labor, that's another $143. Of course, the deductible was $500. I also put in $30 in gas this tank, and am going to get maybe 100 miles on the full tank, so I lost a good $15 in gas from the fuel leak. There are a bunch of other petty costs here and there I can't remember, so in total, I had to pull out $750 to $1000 out of my own pocket. I guess I could try to squeeze more out of the insurance, but I'm so tired of dealing with them, I gave up. It's not that much anyway, because the total bill for repairs ended up to be just a bit over $4000. BTW, they have not paid the mechanic for the bill yet. I will call them tomorrow to see what's going on. I hope I have no more problems with the insurance and no more problems with the car!
Flash, thanks for the tip. I will look forward to it running better! I still have to fix my intake oil leak though...which could possibly be a culprit to the problem...possibly.

i just got autolite app 605 spark plugs for my 93 t/a. are they all right? thats all i could find
if the oil is contaminated with gas really bad ( i think there is more than half a liter of gas there), changing the oil and filter willdo or i have to flush somehow all the old oil? what can i do?
i had an injector stuck open, but its all right now- i cleaned it and tryed it on the fuel rail and it doesnt leak anymore
tomorrow i think i will change the oil, oil filter and spark plugs, reinstall the starter and fire it up, i cant do it today cause it rains
TRANS AM IN EUROPE, I don't know much about Autolite plugs...I've only used NGK and Delco brands. They should be OK, but I have no idea about longevity. If you had an injector stuck open, then your oil is full of gas. Since the mechanic changed mine, I can only recommend what I think to be correct. I would remove the drain plug and jack the car from the right side. If you can, make it tilt from the back right so you get all the crap out of the system. Just keep it that way until all the fluids stop dripping out. The gas probably will clean out your system so it's good to simply drain it all out.
Good luck, and if it still doesn't start, I would recommend you replace the regulator. It's not too expensive (compared to the cost of buying 8 new injectors) and isn't too hard to install. Let me know what happens.
