  • I'm in the 400 HP club!!!

    Well, guys...

The problems have been corrected by the folks at LS1 Speed in Schaumburg. New pushrods installed, the aftermarket MAF ends replaced with the stock ones, and the rich fuel curve leaned out on the dyno with LS1edit.

When all was said and done, I saw 345 rwhp, and 360 rwtq. The torque curve is completely flat from 4000 RPM to 4700, and above 3000 RPM, it is always above 325 ft-lbs.

I am pretty happy about it!
Former Ride: 2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 - 345 rwhp, 360 rwtq... stock internally.

It honestly reminds me a lot of the ride I took in a Z06 last summer. When you go down to 3rd from a highway roll, hit redline, and shift into 4th... you get slammed back into your seat -- the car does not stop pulling. It is awesome.

As far as giving a Z06 a lesson... hehehe... I think I am probably another mod or two away from that.

Have you considered doing any headwork or a cam in the near future? If you could save about $700 you could do a complete cam swap installed! You could easliy make over 400 RWHP with stock unported heads and still remain very streetable.

Or you could always go with Thunder Racing's T-Rex cam!!

Hey Jay 02 ws6, you were just like 2 miles from my house. Speed Inc. is a right turn, left turn and another left turn away from my house.
You should have come by speed inc. on the 6th of march, they had an open house. and it was AWESOME. Or if you would have told me you were going to be in town we could have gone and had some drinks. But we would have had to have the drinks at someones house cuz Im 18 and cant get into bars yet. Well at U of I i can get into bars.

It sure is nice haveing a LT1/LS1 speed shop right around the corner, especially the calibor of work they do.

I definitely have plans for head/cam work. I want to do something that is pretty different from the direction a lot of guys go... I want to spin the motor pretty high. I will be looking for a cam that gets superior top end power.

Remember that thread a while back where I said the MKIV Supra TT is the most prolific highway killer there is? Yeah... that is the car I want to de-throne

But that is probably about a year down the road...

Push the quote button next to the edit button.

Don't worry, I didn't notice it at first either.

That's cool, maybe next time we can get together. I couldn't make it on the 6th because I was headed down to Daytona Beach right after the appointment and it really didn't make sense for me to make that trip, then drive back home, then drive down to Florida.

Just in case y'all were wondering... I can feel a HUGE difference, lol... WOW
