I am definitly not a sbc expert, I have been focusing more on LT1/LS1 motors, but I believe it is a 400 bored .030 over.

    Which would be a 4.155" bore x 3.75' stroke I think.

      Correct.

My cousin used to have a Monte Carlo SS with a 406 in it. Edelbrock 4BBL on a performer intake with Corvette heads, headers and true duals.... It haulled butt, and sounded wicked!!

That intake manifold would not clear the hood... But that isnt impossible to remedy

Just an excuse to buy a 4" cowl hood!

a 433 would be mostly torque right

cause it has a long stroke??

It's a 400 SBC bored .030 over - check this link out- http://www.proautoinc.com/406.htm. Don't confuse it with a 400 big block though (actually 402ci but marketed as "400").

That link didn't work for me. What is the stroke on the 433?

                        A 400 SBC bored .030 over is a 406.

To get 433, you would need to change the stroke by replacing the crank.
