        LIBERALS and CONSERVATIVES:

The division of the human family into its two distinct branches
        occurred
some 10,000 years ago, a few hundred years after the flood. Humans
        coexisted
as members of small bands of nomadic hunter/gatherers.
In the pivotal event of societal evolution, beer was invented. This
epochal innovation was both the foundation of modern civilization and
        the
occasion of the great bifurcation of humanity into its two distinct
        subgroups: Liberals and Conservatives.
Once beer was discovered, it required grain, and that was the beginning
        of
agriculture. Neither the glass bottle or aluminum can had yet been
        invented,
so it was necessary to stick pretty close to the brewery. That's how
        villages were formed.

Some men spent their days killing animals to barbeque at night while
        they
were drinking beer. This was the beginning of the conservative
        movement.

Other men who were! weaker and less skilled at hunting, learned how to
live off conservatives by showing up for the BBQs every night and doing
women's work like sewing, fetching and hair dressing. This was the
beginning of the liberal movement. Later, some of the liberals
        actually
        became women.

Liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, invention of
        group
therapy and democratic voting to see how to divide the beer and meat
        that
the conservatives provided. Women were not interested
in democracy at that time because most of them were still women back
        then,
        and the conservatives fed them.
Conservatives are symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal
        on
earth. Liberals are symbolized by the jackass.

Modern Liberals like imported beer (they add lime), but most prefer
        white
wine or foreign water in a bottle. They eat raw fish but like their
        beef
well done. Sushi, tofu, and french food are on li! beral menus. Their
women have more testosterone than the men. Liberals like deviant sex
        and
want others to like it too. Their first successful city governments
        were
        Sodom and Gomorrah.

Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, and group
therapists are Liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule
        in
baseball because it wasn't "fair" to make the pitcher also bat.

Conservatives drink domestic beer. They eat red meat, and still
        provide
for their women. Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys,
        lumber
jacks, construction workers, medical doctors, police officers, corporate
executives, soldiers, athletes, and generally anyone who works
        productively
outside government. Conservatives who own companies hire other
conservatives who want to work for a living.

Liberals do not produce anything. They like to "govern" the producers
        and
decide what is to be done with the pro! duction. Liberals believe
        Europeans
are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals
        just
stayed in Europe when conservatives were coming to America.

Conservatives have principles, believe in a Creator, and the rule of
        law.
They practice charity and give to the poor, normally through their
        churches.
When in doubt on an issue, they check both the Bible and the
        Constitution,
which they use as a constant reference in a changing world. They believe
        in
        the concept of truth.

Liberals do not have principles, except for their dedication to
        stealing
production of conservatives and undermining principled references such
        as
the Bible and Constitution. They are never in doubt on an issue because
        they
always do whatever is best for them without regard to others. They have
        no
standard of reference. Liberals do not give to charity. They cultivate
        the
poor like a cat cultivates a field of mice. They! use the poor as
        voters
and give them a portion of stolen tax money which they vote away from
        conservatives.

Conservatives believe in self defense, both at home and abroad. They
        own
guns and use them to discourage liberals and other common criminals.
        They
provide guns to the armed forces to discourage foreign liberals and
        other
        foreign criminals.

Liberals do not believe in conservative self defense. They disarm
conservatives, and then attack them with impunity by liberal armies with
guns. King George, Hitler and Stalin were all liberals who abandoned
        the
rule of Law, had no principles except their own self indulgence, and
attempted to tax and govern conservatives. Liberals believe in BIG
government. They think the United Nations is the ultimate answer.

Conservatives believe in the rule of law and when sitting on juries,
convict common criminals and acquit fellow conservatives who have been
charged by l! iberals. When serving in the armed forces, they shoot
liberals from other countries who want to govern our country.
        Conservatives
know the difference between a common-sense law and a
bone-headed statute passed by some liberal from Massachusetts. When
sitting on juries, they do not enforce bone-headed statutes, and don't
        explain their reasons.

Liberals only believe in whatever laws are appealing to them, such as
        the
privilege of making a living by taxing conservatives. When sitting on
juries, liberals convict producers and acquit liberals and other common
criminals. Modern Judges are all liberals as they do not produce
        anything
except chaos, and are paid with confiscated tax money. They consider it
against the law to reference any source of law such as the Bible or
Constitution. Like other liberals, they just make it up as they go and
        do
what is best for them. Judge Roy Bean is their model.

T! he American cowboy, of course, is your basic, full-bore
        Conservative. A
hundred years ago, an Englishman visiting Texas was attempting to find
        the
owner of a huge cattle ranch. He rode up to one of the ranch hands, and
inquired, "Pardon me, but could you perhaps tell me where I might locate
your master?" To which the cowboy replied, "That sumbitch ain't been
        born
        yet".

So, what'll it be? Wine or Beer? Domestic or Imported?

uhh... what was that crap? liberals like their steak well done and foreign bottled water? please tell me that person who wrote all that was kidding.

i'm sorry, but if this is a republican's arguement against democrats... please. thats pathetic. that whole rant was nothing but an unadultered flame against democrats.

i personally think all politicians are crooks and we can't trust any of them. democrats are just as bad as republicans.

but that thig is just laughable. is it seriously that hard to ake a balanced look at both the sides? are there no independent, logical thinkers out there?

republicans like the person that wrote that make me sick. its the uneducated in this country that simply sit on bandwagons and spew fountains of ********* out their mouth.

Extremely Liberal here. We need jobs, not wars. I think abortion should stay legal and that you should be able to marry anyone you want. Tax cuts for those over 100k and 25% tax before deductions on those who make over 100k. I don't like guns and think they should be an ammendment to outlaw them for the general public...........liberal enough.......LOL.

I know that Wolfy said not to argue politics, and I am sure this thread will soon be locked. But before it does, I would like to know if you have any sort of education, facts, figures, or theories to support those claims -- or is just utopian ideals that you think we should all live by?

I'm not quite sure... do you want to raise or lower taxes on the wealthy? The liberal view is to raise them... and for that matter, I find it rather ironic, and contradictory that you want to "create jobs" but at the same time want to raise taxes on the wealthy. The two don't go together, and if you don't know why, perhaps you need to find out.

Hitler was all over that. It was one of the first things he did.

There is no problem with law abiding citizens owning guns. It actually helps deter criminals.

The problem, is criminals owning guns. Look at this logically... Criminals, by nature, break the law... right? That is why they are criminals... see? A law banning guns will just be broken by criminals.

The only people obeying the law will be the law abiding citizens. The criminals will still have guns. Only.. now the criminals will have free reign to do crime without threat of anyone defending themselves.

And... yes we do need jobs. Who typically hires people to work for them?? Typically rich people and corporations, right? Poor folks dont typically hire to many employees. So, if it is rich people that provide jobs, shouldnt we cut their taxes so thay are able to make larger profits, expand their business and hire more people? If you raise taxes on rich people and corporations you will cause layoffs as those companies either downsize or move overseas. Lower taxes for the rich = more jobs.

And you are right about the gays.... Let them marry or form civil unions or whatever they want to call it. A marriage is just a combining of 2 things into 1... These marriages are just using the word marriage as a label.... They are not really marriages in the eyes of God.

And.. yes.. abortion, as much as it sucks, does need to be legal. There are just too many times it is necessary. When people are forced to have kids they dont want it causes all sorts of problems, like poverty and abuse just to start.

We agree on a couple things at least.

Currently, our "freedom" and "liberty" of free speech is being infringed upon by the FCC. At the top of the FCC, is I believe Colen Powell's son, who was appointed by Bush. I was listening to the radio the other day, and already I noticed that a lot of words in songs are taken out that usually use to air before. Even Howard Stern ( a former, and major Bush suporter) has already been taken off the air from sevral States due to the new FCC Regulations, and will probably not be on the air at all should the new Indecency Bill get passed (which it probably will). Now what gives the FCC the right to tell us what we can, and cannot listen to?

On tax cuts for the wealthy, since when does more money for them equal more jobs and opportunities? What makes people think that the money they save on tax cuts will get invested into creating more jobs? They can very well pocket that money and spend it on a fancy car, instead of investing it. At the dealer where I use to work at, the top managers all voted Republican, as they all make loads of cash a year. None of that money that they recieved thanks to the tax breaks ever made its way into improving and expanding the business. We never got new eqipment to replace the old, out dated equipment. We didnt get new employees despite the fact that we needed them. We never even saw pay raises. What I did see were the managers driving top of the line BMW, Mercedez Benz, and other nice cars as. Although I dont disagree that giving tax breaks to the rich can help create new jobs, I dont see it happening, and its not working as well as it should.

Bush has done some good things, I admit, but at the same time, has made some bad ones too. One thing I strongly support him for, is his proposal for an amendment banning same sex marriages. Although not likely to go into law, it is a good proposal. Personally, I dont see why the law should bend for special interest groups, they are no more special than you and me, and have the exact same rights as you and me, they just chose not to practice them. They argue how they dont have the right to marry who they love like other people, but if I wanted to marry a man, would I be able to? If I wanted to marry my sister or first cousin, or my dog because I was in love with them(god forbid), would I be able to? The answer is no. So why should they be treated any different?

All in all, it is time to remove the Religious Right from office!

Where to start. The FCC does not tell you what channel you can and can not listen to. What is does do is regulate the content of what is broadcast. Your opinion of this will change when you have kids. It's the same thing as the Janet Jackson episode. I need to be able to know what is going to be broadcast to know whether I will need to turn the channel or turn it off before something that I do not want my kids to see or hear comes on. Kids don't need to see her breast (although I think it's ironic that you can't show a breast on TV but you can show someone's head being cut off in highlander). I don't want my kids to hear a song talking about killing someone or raping some one. The FCC's mandate is to regulate per the laws passed governing broadcast standards. Howard Stern was not removed and fined for a new law. The law has been on the books for several decades. It just hasn't been enforced till now. They are looking at new standards to add but nothing has been added as far as I know. This is a fine line here. I like the Everlast song "what it's like". I hate it when it is censored. But It should not be played on public radio without censoring it. It should be played on XM without censoring it. Like I said, I felt the same as you until I had kids. A lot changes when that happens.

"On tax cuts for the wealthy, since when does more money for them equal more jobs and opportunities? survey after survey shows that the more people make, the more they spend. That includes all. The rich and poor. Reagan proved that if you cut taxes on the high end income earners, they will spend more money. Here's a statistic for you. around 80% of all businesses are privately owned like LLCs. These businesses report their income on the owners personal tax return. If one of these companies makes say $500,000 dollars in a year, that $500,000 plus how much the owner takes of that say $100,000 a year goes on his tax return as earnings. You pick up his tax return and it says he earned $600,000 in a year. You say wow, that guy is rich. No he made $100,000 and the other $400,000 went to pay for rent, materials, advertising and to pay for people to work for him. Reagan said since most businesses are operated like that, if I cut their taxes, they will have more money to hire people. So he cut it from like 70% to 38% and guess what. We had the biggest growth of our economy ever. This is the way to "create" jobs in the private sector.

Oh if the people that earn a lot of money use it to buy "fancy cars", fancy boats, fancy airplanes, this creates jobs in the private sector. People have to be hired to build these fancy things. Parts have to be aquired that are used in them. People have to build these parts.

As for the managers not re-investing in the company, that is unfortunate but most people would do that if in their shoes. All companies try to make do with what they have. I hate it. I like having a new fast computer. It makes my job easier. Not much you can do about that. If you raise their taxes, they will cut back even more and still try and buy the nice toys.

I like Sean Hannity's quote. "I have never been given a job by a poor person."

"We need jobs, not wars." We are having a war forced apon us. It's fight or be killed. If you're dead, you don't need a job. We have to get our priorities in order here.

Take a look at a few excerpts from the Covenant of the Hamas

Article 7: "The Day of Judgment will not come about until Moslems fight Jews and kill them. Then, the Jews will hide behind rocks and trees, and the rocks and trees will out: 'O Moslem, there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and kill him."

Article 13: "So-called peaceful solutions and international conferences are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement ... There is no solution for the Palestinian problem except by Jihad [holy war]."

"I don't like guns and think they should be an ammendment to outlaw them for the general public"

Our founding fathers recognized that if the general public was armed, it would deter a foreign army from invading us. TraceZ is correct, if you outlaw guns, only the bad guys will have them. There has never been a case of a licensed hand gun owner (I'm one of them) shooting a cop. There has been tons of cases where a handgun has been used by a person who legally owned it saving his own or someone else's life from a person committing a crime. I guarantee if you take my right to own a gun away, the criminals will still get them. Now what do I have to protect myself. No one has the right to take that away from me as guaranteed by the constitution of the United States. I have found that most people who don't like them have not used them. My X wife hated them but I took her out shooting and now she loves them. Go shoot a fully automatic gun some time. There are places where you can rent them. Wow what a rush. Just like a full throttle acceleration on an F-Body or anything else for that matter.

Oh I forgot an interesting statistic. A small town in NW Georgia called Kennesaw passed a law stating that all homeowners must own a gun. Statistics show that the crime rate in Kennesaw dropped 53% in the first year. If a criminal knows you own a gun, he is a lot less likely to try and hurt you. Why take the chance. He will go find a "card carrying liberal" (I said that as a joke for it's shock value, no offense intended) to rob. He knows he has a lot less chance of getting hurt there.

A small piece of advise for everybody, make sure your comments are directed at a persons policies not the person. This will keep a person's feeling from getting hurt and the thread from getting locked. I know you sometimes have to quote a person in order to rebut the comment but try and not make it personal. Just a comment. I have friends that are "card carrying liberal". LOL

                          Since Economics 101.

What makes people think that the money they save on tax cuts will get invested into creating more jobs? They can very well pocket that money and spend it on a fancy car, instead of investing it.

Is it not someone's JOB to build that fancy car? Does someone not need that job to feed their family? Spending money on goods produced is good for the economy. People are far too quick to jump on the wealthy for "living in excess", when that very lifestyle is part of a demand which employs people.

These businesses report their income on the owners personal tax return. If one of these companies makes say $500,000 dollars in a year, that $500,000 plus how much the owner takes of that say $100,000 a year goes on his tax return as earnings. You pick up his tax return and it says he earned $600,000 in a year. You say way, that guy is rich. No he made $100,000 and the other $400,000 went to pay for rent, materials, advertising and to pay for people to work for him. Reagan said since most businesses are operated like that, is I cut their taxes, they will have more money to hire people.

                            Thank you.

Oh, and here is another statistic. The wealthiest 1% of the people in this nation already make up 26% of the entire tax base. The attitude that they need to pay more, due to other people's jealousy, is shameful.

While I'm thinking about it, what is the democrats actual plan for "creating" jobs? I keep hearing Kerry say we need to create jobs instead of sending them over seas (like his wife does) but I have not heard an actual plan.

And another thing, what is Kerry's actual plan for Iraq if he were to be elected and what would his foreign policy be. I hear him say we need to stop this and that but I can't recall him saying what he would do.

And that is great if they spend the money on a new car. That means auto manufacturers will need to hire more people to meet the increased demand. More jobs.

The more $$ the government lets us keep the better off we all are. We provide jobs. not uncle sam. The government just holds us back, by taxing our profit away. See??
