'92 and '93 were SD, meaning that they didn't have a MAF.

And I believe the put in a difference MAF for the LS1s, but I could be wrong on that.

94-97s are the same, but you are better off leaving it alone.

yea, I just looked at your mods, and you won't need any mods for more CFM for a WHILE. I mean until you get til around 12s, then I would think of some air intake mods.

Well i guess against all the advice here i did end up descreening my maf. It seems to be more responsive but i also went back to the stock airbox config with a homemade ram air scoop and it seems just a bit more perky and runs a little sweeter from idle. So next is headers and then a lt4 heads and cam pacakge........ *fingers crossed*

When you get the LT4 package, you will require PCM reprogamming to get the max benefit out of the upgrade. The programmer, assuming he knows what he is doing, will ask you if you have altered the MAF sensor, since if you have, it makes his job a little harder. Tuners prefer an unmolested MAF, since the calibration curve is a "known".

            "Perky"????

Maybe it's just me but I have always associated the word "perky" with sexually oriented thoughts. Not sure of the relation to cars?
