Go look at some pictures of the first jet engine made in Great Britain. It looks very similar. To me function beats form. If it works, it's hard to argue with success. LOL

Yea I saw one of those on a website. I dont remember which one though, but it said that it puts out very good numbers, and stays alot cooler and you dont need to modify anything under the hood. Show the numbers when you get it dynoed. Where did you get it?

Alright, amusing responses this received, it's all about the good fun. I had a pleasure on inspecting this set up so I thought I take a picture. That compressor is an Axuilary Power Unit off an helicopter am not sure which one, porbably something back in the 60's or 70's. Its rated power is 55hp at 56,000 rpms, Pump pressure 15 to 30 PSI., wieghts only 68lbs. It has its own combustion chamber , similar to a small jet engine, that drive a centtrifugal single stage compressor. The output is through a shaft which powered hydraulic systems. So in a way has an apposite working order to a turbo used on a car. This takes in air mixes with fuel under high compression and spinds a shaft.
Am not sure if this would be applicable to a fbody. hehe
