Does a G-tech count? - I figure im making over 500 horse on the juice. I have abused my T56 in every way imaginable and it keeps coming back for more. I have heard one of the guys on this board talk about them holding up to 900 horse power. Thats probably stretching it, but they are pretty beefy. I know one of the good upgrades is beefier shift forks.

The t-56 really won't start to until about 800 flywheel hp. So you should be plenty good.

There's an outfit called D&D Peformance that specializes in the T56, offering everything from heavier input and output shafts to ogenic treating. I ran the T56 to about 635flywheelHP and had no problems. A buddy of mine pushed his to about 800HP in a 3,900# convertible with no problems. Rich Krause who moderates the "Drivetrain" forum at CamaroZ28.com ran his T56 at about 900HP on a blower + nitrous car, another 4,000# convertible. "Taner" who posts on CamaroZ28.com is running mid-9's/14Xmph with a T56, but it has some significant upgrades.
