I've been on and off this board since it's creation, and I feel as I've gotten to know Ken quite well (although we've never met) by reading his posts over the past few years. I check in every now and then to see how things are going, and was deeply saddened to read this. I can't stand it when bad things happen to good people, and Ken and Her Hawk are some of the best people I've had the pleasure of knowing.

day 2 looks like its going to be rough. mary's realy taking it harder today. i think the shock has worn off and the sorrow is stabbing deeply now.
ive got to be the "pilliar" right now. the families are counting on me. my dad is worse off today, kenny was his only collings granson..and the only one to carry on the name to the next generation. he was close to kenny.

When Jeff told me what happened, I got really choked up. Then he told me about your other losses and I nearly lost it. My mom passed away four years ago, so I'm really feeling for you. I can't imagine losing a child though.
