Sean, here is a very detailed article on the opti. Very informative. This should also give you a little more insight as to how the opti is so very unique from other ignition systems.

The article seems to indicate that weak spart could be caused by the opti. How often is this seen? ANybody ever run into this before? I want to say this seems more like a coil or wire issue.

I think I may be getting it these problems ironed out. I am doing the ignition stuff on thursday to hopefully get back some oomph that im missing. I also think I have an engine vibration too, maybe related to the ignition??

In an effort to figure out the driveline portion of my vibration, I brought my driveshaft down to fleet pride to have it balanced (out of desperation). I know the guy who runs the place and we were looking closely at the shaft and noticed 2 dents in it right near where the ujoint straps hold the ujoint in. I have a billet 1330 series yoke and some pretty hefty caps on there......I matched the cap up to it and sure enough, its the same size as the dent in the shaft. So, I THINK that the ujoint caps may be interfering with the driveshaft as it spins and its under load. Im gonna grind the caps down a bit and take it for a spin ----I sure hope this is it! Im getting tired.
