Correct me if Im wrong, but wouldn't the converter from his 88 not allow him to retain the lock up feature of the newer trany's?

i plan on getting a new converter, and all the ones ive seen retained the stock lockup function for highway driving.--- 2000 NBM A4 Camaro SS #8156 ---
