  • Stock Track Time

well, were to start-- i just got back from San Angelo dragstrip, formerly Wall dragway >>>>14.001 @ 99.52 thats with a .546 reaction and 2.1 60' time (street tires). im happy with the time, all the other f-body guys at the track said it was right on par for what an auto should run at our track. I need to go up to dallas and run, i've heard of .4-.5 second drop in ET just runnin at a track in the dallas area. due to the change in altitude & climate.

now that i have my baseline the mods will come, starting with a 3,600 vigalante stall that a buddy is selling me for $500 only had it in his car for like 400-500 miles before stepping up to a 4,400.
    also plan on headers/ y-pipe/ gears/ lid/ maf/ TB/ bellows/ then maybe lsx intake and a cam

Is your car lowered? If so, this will affect your times as in poor weight transfer. It's hard to tell in your picture...

the car has the stock ride height for an SS with the SLP suspension.
i think my slower than average time is due to the 1,900' elevation not to mention it was like 85 degrees with almost 50% humidity, thats West Texas for ya.
