RND Sounds. It's still there. Only thing is I have dealt with Custom Sounds so much that they all know me there and I would really like to keep my business with them. Thanks though!

Anyone know about the door speakers not getting sound?

It's been a long time since I worked on that body style Tahoe, but if I remember correctly you have to run wires from the rear doors to the radio. Don't quote me on that, but for some reason I remember having to do that on Suburbans and Tahoes.

Is it possible for the rear door wires to be in the second wire harness that connected to the OEM stand alone CD player?

The rear doors were wired to the second harness afterall. Just got finished installing the 2 12WS6v2's, 2 farad StingPro cap, and Rubicon 1002.

Holy Sh!t! I had absolutely no idea how hard this would hit!! My windshield wipers were slightly bouncing on the windshield. This is by far the loudest system I have ever installed! I love it.

You know how they say guys think about sex every 6 seconds. Well I find myself thinking about cars and motors every 6 seconds!

I guess that is why the WS6 slipped in there.

Hello all love the audio ? in theis section all diffrent opinons. And if you ask me (you asked all of us ) go with the 1000/jl. and before everyone jumps me this is the retional. The JL has a regulated power supply so from i believe it 10.5v to 14.5v and from 1.5ohm to 4ohm you aree gonna get 1000 watts. they are very stabel and easy to deal with. i know here are a lot of amps out there but most rate there amps at 14.5v and some go as far as power at 17v all that is great but in a car/truck what ever youll be lucky to get 12v at the truck. as for the cap if your gonna go for a nice system then put the cap. if you want a great system go with a higher amp alt and a two battery set-up. All opinion but when i started i ran 2 w310s in a sealed box in a j-boby convertable with only 400 wats and made 139.9 and i dont know if that was luck but ive leared alot since then. By the way if you are not going to compeat then i would go with a sealed box. Ported boxes do give you a 3db desible gian but there can be issues with the tunning and if you drop into frecs that are lower then the tune you can over extrude the speakers and blow them.

that's what subsonic filters are for....get one to cut off all frequencies below the port tuning, and you should be ok.

Yeah, the Eclipse 5423 head unit that I put in has a built in adjustable crossover. It is very convenient.
