  • Black ZO6 wheels?

Hey guys - need some opinions. I just had new tires installed - Goodyear GS D3s. Well, I was informed one of my wheels is cracked You can tell they didn't do it at the tire shop (the crack is not new - dirt and dust in and around the crack) but I am not sure when or how it happened. Anyways while I was at the shop, Discount Tire Direct, he showed me some replica ZO6 wheels in black. Size - 17x9.5 with a 54 mm offset. Would this look nice on my car? I was told my wheels can be repaired but I am skeptical. There are some other wheels I like better but they are much more expensive and they would dip into my "beater car fund". I was not planning on any "cosmetic mods" yet but may be forced to? All opinions appreciated!

I'm not sure I would like black rims on a silver car, maybe red of yellow. I personally like the stock rims, but whatever tickles your pickle.

With yoour color I definitely would put a polished or chrome wheel on. Check TomZ Wheels on eBay. He has very cheap Z06 replicas.

Here is a complete set of silver Z06 wheels for $395. You can find lots of deals like this on eBay. Chrome will be a little more.

I agree with Kevin.. Silver car needs chrome wheels. The black wouldnt look right. If you are going to buy wheels, find some you really want. Dont just settle on what is sitting in a local store.

I've seen a trans am with Z06 rims on it and it just didnt look right, i dont know why, I'd go with another wheel, but if you've seen em on a T/A and they looked good I'd say go for it but definatly in polished or chrome, not black.

I agree with Chris!!!!! I am HUGE fan of gloss black wheels with a chrome lip! And on a pewter car... drrrrrrooooooooollllllll !!!!!

Casey! I wouldn't even think twice about this. DO IT!

Or better yet, do they have gunmetal gray with a chrome lip? If so, go with that!

Thanks for the replies guys - I found them for 177 / wheel installed - don't think I can pass it up. I am going on a family vacation for the next week - will probably order them next week - I'll post some pics if I go that route. Sure wish I was using the money for headers though
