I know as my GS-Cs got older, the tread compound got harder which really sucks now that they have very little tread left (27k miles).
My question for owners of the Goodyear GS-D3s: is this happening to your tires? Also, who here has the GS-D3 with the most miles on them?
I have a couple days left before I have to chose between the GS-D3 and the Nitto 555 Extreme. The price difference is not that much, $975 for the GS-D3s or $862 for the Nittos. I wanna get at least 30k miles out of these driving "average." Also, I don't take freeway on ramps at 150 MPH, so I really don't need a "max performance summer tire," I just really like the looks of the GS-D3s... but not if they won't last me 3-5 years and/or >30k miles. I put about 7-8k miles (most of them highway) on my car per year.
Thanks for the info all.
