Anyone here from chicagoland wanna cruise?

Hey, i say before it starts getting cold and the winter hits, that some of us should meet up and go for a cruise or to the track or something! I live in cicero, and would be more than willing to meet up with any of u guys and cruise. It would be nice to check out some other f-bodies as well . So if anyone here who is from the chicagoland area or plans on being in this area want to meet up and cruise, pm me, reply to this post, or give me an email at inbloom364@yahoo.com. I only can check the comp at work, and its finally the weekend! But i will be back in on tuesday, so hopefully we can set something up!

Oh yeah, before i forget! A couple buddies of mine that just graduated from lincoln tech are renting out a track sometime later this month. I wanna say either the 24th, 25th, or 27th, i honestly cant remember. But i'll try and find out as soon as possible. 20 bucks to run as many times as you want, and it would be nice to see some more f-bods there. Reply if anyone is interested!

Hey man what up. Im in Schaumburg. DJ Taso (94 Ram Air T/A)and LT1maro (95 z) are from Chi town too. On October 3rd at Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove Wisconsin there is the F-body vs Mustang shoot out. Its a sunday from 9am-5. Another good forum to be on is Midwest F-body Association. There are alot of people from chi town on there too. So post this thread on there too. I may be down for a cruise it depends on the day and time. And i normally have to know a day or 2 in advance cuz i alsways chill with my buddies on the weekend. Im 19 what can i say i like to party. But anyways just let me know when ur going to cruise.

Hey purepwrta, actually i'm 19 as well, and i definitely understand about the 2 day thing, i party quite often as well. Actually i cruised the t/a down to u of i yesterday, im here now. But neways, im gonna talk to my buddies and im gonna set something up for a cruise or whatever. I def wanna go to that f-body mustang shootout tho. When i get back in town, i'll make a post and maybe we can meet up soon or something.

I might want to go to that. I'm 50 miles from the track up here in WI. That guy from MFBA, pro-Stock John helped me get into the 12's for the first time over at GLD.

Also, where were those guys going to rent the track at? - Byron? I'm 100 miles from there, but would go there as well. Haven't been back there since my car was stock. My friends from Royal Coach had rented it for a day, and we made a lot of runs for just a case of food - it was a charity event. My best back then was 14.46 with about a 30 mph head wind.

Im a memeber of the MFBA forum as well, and i know that like atleast 6 of us are meeting up somewhere to caravan up to GLD on that day. There will proly be alot of f-bodys up there. My friend may bring his blown 95 z if he gets the blower on in time. Ive posted the shootout on quite a few forums and have got a couple more people to go. Hey 95transam what town are u in. Im in schaumburg so well have to try to figure out a place to meet upo to caraan up there. Maybe Streets of Woodfield.

I'm from cicero by the way, its only like 20-25 mins from shaumburg. I was up there a couple months ago getting a new trans from roadmaster transmission actually. I would definitely be down in caravaning up there. Like i said, i would def be down in getting something together, but i wanna wait til my buddy gets back from florida cuz i know he wanted to go as well. I'll prolly post something in the next few days, and hopefully we can decide on what's gonna happen.

I'm guessing you were referring to me about renting the track. I wish i could give more info, but its being hosted by a whole buncha guys who just graduated from lincoln tech, and my buddy whos in florida went there. When he gets back is when i'll find out all the details. From what i remember though, i know its not too far from where i live (like 45 mins or so) so i know its south of the chicagoland area or so, just not sure yet. I'll post when i know all of the details for sure.

I hope all of the guys from florida make it all right, as well as my best friend.

95trans am wahat kinda trans did u get cuz i got a stage 2 from roadmaster in march. Also whaat color and mods u got done to uyr ride. u can see mine in my sig, i think ill hit a 13.5 with my buffy's cai. do u got a screen name mine is purepwr1.

Tom you read my mind dawg, me and a couple of my friends were gonna ride up to great lakes for that on the third. Also , in terms of a cruise the Chicagoland F-body organizationn always has a fall cruise that they go on. It is on october 16th. Sent dj taso the link and i will send all of you guys the link too. Its a pretty good time, usually about 40-50 cars show up for the cruise.

Aurora checking in......I will have to check my calendar. Let me know what days you want to cruise. Most of my weekends are spent auto-x'ing the TA. We had two races this weekend at RT66 raceway. You gota stop down and have some fun. Its only 35 bucks for non-members.

Took first place on Saturday. Beat up a couple of mustangs and a WRX.
I could only manage third place on Sunday. Lost to a 1LE Camaro(first place) and a 95 Cobra. Both of these guys have been national champions in my class. Oh well, add more mods and get more seat time. I'll catch them soon.....

I got my trans in may, it was a stage 2 as well. My t/a is black, but i got a fiberglass firehawk ram air hood. I have some sort of catback that came with my car, but cant tell what kind cuz it had to have been put on pretty much when the car was brand new, and its pretty worn out on the underside, will be replaced this winter hopefully though. Also, i have a moroso cai, march underdrive pulleys, universal trans cooler, hypertech 160, and a hypertech power programmer III. Also, I'll let you all know about the track hopefully within the next couple days, my buddy is supposed to be getting back from florida later today, and i won't know like i said until he gets back. As for cruising, if anyone is down, it would be nice to meet up somewhere possibly later this week. I'm thinking anywhere from thursday to sunday would be good.
