Ooooh! I know.........Because the throttle response isn't linear?

Seriously, if you want tech help, you should clue us in on what car, year, engine, modifications, etc...

It's not a question of not wanting to help. It is possible that nobody can really tell what is going on without having their hands on the car. A scanner would help greatly. You can view each sensor including 02 sensors to see what the computer is seeing.

First thing I would check is the throttle position sensor. Put an ohm meter on it and and move the throttle from closed to WOT (with car off) and watch the resistance throught the sensor. MAke sure that its a changes smoothly and there are no "dead" spots. Other than that, gotta get it on a scnanner like Joe said.

First, I think they have just a code reader. Even if they had a scanner, a scanner is only a piece of equipment. You have to know what your looking at, and if they did, chances are they wouldnt be working at autozone. Now, thats not to say you wont get lucky and run into a guy who knows his stuff, but your best bet is to take it to a good tech at a reputable shop.
