Ok like it drives fine when iam cruisin... but when i stomp the gas... it has like a huge pause of not really giving it power then it kicks in at 5,000rpm .... thats dangerous... WHY?

Seriously, if you want tech help, you should clue us in on what car, year, engine, modifications, etc...

not trying to be mean bro. trust me, everybody wants to help! just maybe some people are either kinda stumped on this one or they dont wanna stear you in the wrong way... im not a big fan of anything below 8 cylinders, and im not the greatest so i really dunno what to tell ya. You have to know what your looking at, and if they did, chances are they wouldnt be working at autozone. Now, thats not to say you wont get lucky and run into a guy who knows his stuff, but your best bet is to take it to a good tech at a reputable shop.

i get a similar thing on my 83, firebird. when i start it up in the morning and every other blue moon, im assuming it's just a missfire from my old ass distributor cap and rotor or maybe my plugs or something like that? hell, i have no idea, but thats where imma start.'83 Z28 Camaro. 350/325HP, 3:73's, comp.cam, hedman headers, 650 carter carb, 1 inch spacer, edelbrock performer, K&N, 3" flowmaster, t-tops, 18" Torq thrust-II's and a big bad 4" cowl.
