We took a pounding this time. The storm sat off the coast and casually wandered it's way across the state. The first night, I heard the sound of a tornado and took cover. In an instant, a large oak tree was ripped in half (the top half was ripped off), my large tower and TV antenna destroyed and about 1/4 of the roof was scattered around neighborhood. I got lucky yet at the same time cursed.
The GN and the 97WS6 were safely tucked away in the garage which ended up still with water on the floor even though we are on high ground. The water was being blown under doorways and such. The Fiero was parked out front and was moved about 3 feet! You can see the tire marks where the front end was rotated from the force. That is really freaky! I spent days stuck inside with nothing to do except apply more Zaino to the WS6.
However, now I'm off to home depot for materials and have to quickly do a partial roof before rains cause even more damage. It really sucks when hurricane insurance has such a high deductabile, now I have to do the thing solo.......
I still have no idea where the spare wheel and tire in my front yard came from. It certainly isn't mine.
