[QUOTE=TraceZ]There is a car that sits under our builing at work with a cover on it. There are normally no vandalism problems there, but the cover on that car has had crap dumped on it more times than I can remember...QUOTE]

The guy should setup a hidden surveillance camera, then when he catches the bottom feeder that is vandalizing his property, he should throw him to the pavement and knee drop him to puncture his liver and rupture his spleen. Anyway, that would be my approach.

I'm a junior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and I know how you feel. It doesn't have anything to do with having a nice ride 90% of the time though. It is mainly do to drunken stupidness and kids from ignorant *** frats that have no respect for other peoples property. I drive a '95 Trans Am but it rarely sees school time. At school i have a '87 ford escort EXP that i picked up for less than $500. Get a junker. If you're a car guy it will give you something to work on in your free time when at school, just making sure it's running well enough to get you there and back.

Yeah, but dont get your pos car mixed up with your good car... haha.. it sucks.

I live in canda, eh.. and i used to work for the city (the slackest job in the world... heh) so i used to get this big 2002 Ford Super Duty F-350 -7.3L Power Stroke Diesel. It was bad***, but of the guys really cared for it, so we'd have fun and back up over barricades and stuff. it was so much fun.. lol

one day i got off work, and drove out to pick up the girl from somewhere downtown in my truck (lowered 68 chev) and went to park, it was natural to get right up on the boulevard and just park up there, so i did.. and WHAM as i was going up on the curb, my entire front end including my bumper and all got smushed crunched and everything inbetween. it was a sad, sad day.

maybe this dosent happen to everyone, but wow.. i sure did feel like a retard. haha

Personally, I wouldn't paint it while you are still driving it to school. I parked my '97 on the street because parking near my office building is too expensive, and people continually hit the rear and front bumper so they are full of spider webs; I just left them until I garaged the car. Now that is a limited use car, I will think about repainting the front and rear wraps...and, I do the work myself so it is relatively cheap.

Whatever you do, don't put a car cover on it. That pretty much turns your car into a billboard for curious vandals.

Never got my car keyed...but I've gotten scratches from idiots opening there doors and hitting mine...glad our doors are composits. I got one long scratch from a shopping cart...

My suggestion...park far away...away from other cars and in the open.

That's what I do...after a couple of scratchs from other cars...I'm in the open...I'll walk if I have too.

"key"ers are freaking bums and mofos...if I ever catch one I'ma bodyslam em straight through the ground...

Or you could do what i do.......find a friend who works for the government (police, fbi, states attorney, etc.) and when your car gets messed with, look for finger prints, pull them off with a piece of packing tape, and then find out who the sob was that messed with your ride.
