Someone should give this guy an atomic wedgie for even thinking this way...

Volvo - yuk! I'd sooner lose a testicle (the big one) on a barbed wire fence than be caught driving a Volvo.

I'm not happy about the prospect of losing my WS6... but I do guarantee that this Volvo would change EVERY pre-conceived notion you have ever had about a Volvo. It is a seriously amazing car.

The last car that impressed me on a test drive as much as this Vovlo did... was an LS1 f-body. What's that tell you?

          Hay Jay,

Nothing you can do my friend. I am with AAA as well. You're a pretty young guy, just a couple years older than me.

My rates went up for the new year from $2800/year for full coverage on the Z28 and PLPD on my 87 Conquest, all the way to $3800 A YEAR.

I have multi-car discount, student discount, credit union discount (that saves a LOT if you don't already have it), good student discount, and my brother being a driver under them saved me some. I'm still paying out the ace.

Perfect record. 0 points, no accidents, no claims.

I argued with them, I went and saw an agent, nothing. It's just their new rates for the year. I believe all insurance in MI went up. I was reading up and a lot of people are pointing toward Gov. Granholm for the insurance increases in MI. Also, for people our age, AAA is going to be the cheapest, trust me. Progressive want's 3K every six months.

I was about to sell the Camaro because of this. I CAN afford it, but there is really no point in having a car that's monthly insurance is 3x the cost of the payment. It's ridiculous, but you can argue 'til you're blue in the face, and they'll tell you "it's the rates for 04."

Good luck, tell me if you have any luck talking them down.

Actually, my brother has a credit score of a 5 or something, instead of a 3 like they had on record, so that saved me 400 some odd dollars. What his credit score has to do with my ability to drive, I don't know, but it took me down to about $33??/year.

          Let me know man.

It tells me that you should stick with the LS1 F-Body. Damn, I shouldn't have to explain it. Oh, well, have fun hanging out with your Volvo.com buddies.

the way my z28 is registered and the way i have my insurance (me layered underneath a parents policy, under another parent) I pay 36/mo for full coverage, glass, rental etc.. My 00 s-10 extreme (daily driver) is 3 bucks more a month for the insurance than the payment. It's radiculous. I have some points, but they should be dropping off real soon, i have to call the dmv and get my report, and when its clean, im going to switch companies.

                  ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ????????????????????????
A 400hp monster thats not made anymore for a Do you remember what its like to snatch 2nd at full throttle and the sound coming from the awsome exhaust???? Cause you wont have that in the vulva. Just look outside in the driveway and ask yourself could you really get rid of her? On the serious side I guess you have to do what you have to do.

Of course not, Bro. We all love Volvos, Saabs, & minivans. Takes a manly man to be a girly man. You'll pick up LOTS of chicks in that Volvo!!! Time to do a gut check and see how you want to play your hand. Remember, the F-Body isn't for everybody. It's racious, loud, fast, audacious, and belligerent. It's no longer made. It's hard to get into and out of. It looks cool & it sounds cooler. Volvos suck no matter what the technology. Yeah, they're made in Sweden, but the name also sounds like a piece of female anatomy. A good piece, but c'mon, be reasonable. TransAm was named after a class of racing. You want to compare the two cars? Got that little badge diagonally across the grille? Yeah, you're styling now!!!
