N*F*B: New terror threat on Drudge Report?

Anybody hear about this? I heard some brief talk of it on the radio on my way in this morning... apparently it's being reported that ABC has a video of some claimed terrorist making more threats toward the USA. I guess the report is claiming that ABC is refusing to air the video because of its political implication in the final days before the election. Apparently... this video is one of the scariest yet, and it is being considered real and not a hoax. The terrorist wears a mask, and speaks with an American accent promising that shortly after the election, there will be another attack, but it will dwarf 9/11. "The streets will run with blood, and Americans will be in awe of their own grief. They will be powerless." He also says something like, America has done this to themselves by electing George Bush who has declared war on Islam by declaring war on the Taliban and on Al-Qaeda. The CIA actually believes they know who the masked man is, and he is some crazy whackjob from California who went over to the Middle East to join these terror groups. He identifies himself as "Hassan the American."

If ABC has this video, they need to air it. They have a duty and responsibility to air it.

I saw that this morning. They said that ABC was trying to get confirmation on the video befored they aired it. CBS should learn that.

So does anyone believe that if Kerry gets elected, that the terrorist will not attack anymore?

Hypothetically speaking, if Kerry is elected and there is a terrorist act, he would be just a victim becasue he would just step into the mess, and he will not get sworn in until January, so still Dubbya will have the "total" control.

You're right. I don't care about what happens to New York, because I don't live there.

Whether I am at risk has nothing to do with the fact that it concerns me.

But just an FYI, I work very close to Dearborn, MI - and I wouldn't exactly consider Detroit an "unlikely" target. Certainly not the big target NYC is, but it's no small potatoes either.

Yeah, they say that if Bush is reelected, this is going to happen. Anybody that thinks that they wouldn't do it anyway, if they had the opportunity, is just plain stupid. Without sounding paranoid, I believe that we are in more danger than anyone realizes, though. John Kerry has spent his life attacking the US military in one way or another. I believe that this is the reason that he became a Senator, so that he could continue his anti-war, anti-military philosophy. He has a strong voting record against the military, and of course spoke out inappropriately (to put it mildly) against his fellow soldiers, after his 4/1/2 months in Vietnam. I have no doubt that we are in grave danger, even if terrorist’s acts were to stop completely after he was elected. They will just build themselves back up to full strength during his term, and if they do commit any terrorist’s acts, I believe that very little will be done about it. You CANNOT intimidate terrorists when you are anti-military and anti-war! These people who are voting for Kerry are in denial, and want the problem, to just go away. They think that electing Kerry will just make it all go away, and everything will just be warm and fuzzy, just the way they like it. Everybody wants things to be warm and fuzzy, but electing Kerry ain't going to make it happen. People HAVE to realize that the terrorist STRIVE EVERY DAY, to destroy America, and a nuclear bomb would be their weapon of choice. This is reality, and the John Johns, will do very little to prevent this. They will only do what is popular, whatever that may be at the time. If you look at both of their records, you will see how whatever is popular will stand in the way of properly defending this country. One factor to consider, with all of the UN, Clinton, Kerry, Democratic corruption BS, I wouldn't put it past that bunch to have actually made this video. This would be mild, compared to some of the other crap that they do and have already done.

God, I hate conspiracy theories. No, they didn't make the video to defraud us into voting for Kerry. I'm on your side in this election, but I really wish you wouldn't resort to outlandish bold claims or suggestions.

As for the rest of your post, I really think that if the terrorists came out saying "if you elect Kerry, we'll stop attacks," that would probably swing more votes in Bush's favor. No American, Democrat or Republican, wants to negotiate or appease the terrorists.

I don't come on here to criticize people either. I don't think it is asking too much to expect people to make their voting decisions based on reasonable, sensible consideration for reality. Well, I don’t have anything to apologize for at this point. Jay is the one who criticizes other people on this forum. You are right about this being supposedly for fun, and that I what I have been having, but if someone starts something with me, they are going to get it right back. So if ABC shows this video, which I don't think they will because I think ABC wants Kerry to win, will the liberals scream that they showed it to help Bush? I bet sKerry's team is in contact with ABC to convince them not to air the video but they are giving them a reason like it is too upsetting just like it is too upsetting to show the twin towers being attacked and/or them collapsing.
