  • NEW CAMARO OWNER, NEEDS MODS HELP

Hey, my name's Ricky, I'm, 18 years old, and live in Coral Springs, Florida. I've wanted a Camaro since I knew what a car was, and now, thanks to my neighbor selling it to me at a VVEERRYY cheap price, I have my dream 1994 V6 ( i'd rather have an 8, but who's complaining ) 5 spd manual Camaro. The problem is: I don't know what engine upgrades to get, and how much they cost. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanx

Many guys will tell you not to waste your time on a 3.4 If that's what you have to work with, know that performance won't come cheap. There are headers and exhaust systems you can add, a cold air intake to replace the factory filterbox and tubing but other than that, you won't be able to do much without opening up the engine and doing substantial work. Other modifications like swapping rear end gears or swapping the whole unit for that matter, eliminating the two piece driveshaft and substituting one from a V8 car, suspension upgrades are similar for V6s and V8s, wheels and tires are another upgrade. What do you consider a waaayyy cheap price?

With a V6 I would concentrate on the appearance first. You can make a V6 look sweet. I would get some Zr1 wheels or 10 spoke SS wheels. you can get some for cheap on EBAY or slponline.com next a cold air with k&n filter and nice cat back mainly for looks would look good...

Id go with loudLT1 on this and go for apperance. I love the look of the ZR1's or Z06 wheels on camaros and maybe lower it a bit. Theres also the wings west body kit that looks like the one that came on the RS's which looks real nice on a lowered car with a set of rims IMO.

That motor was not designed for power. I wouldnt bother trying to make it fast, because you really can't. Just accept and enjoy it for what it is.

What I would do is get some ZR1 rims for it, get a used Z28 catback and remove the "camaro" emblems from the fenders. That will keep people guessing.

Dont forget a few coats of Zaino!

          Does it have t-tops?
