I bought my ta with US registration plate and title and I cant register it on my name in my country because its too old they say.
So nobody over there has vintage or classic cars? Seems to me vintage cars are bought and sold all over the world, I doubt that those couldn't be registered or titled. Perhaps you are just searching down the wrong street. Find an specialty vehicle import company and find out how they do it.

Driver's seat which was perfect, is now torn. Man.... all the work I put into that car and for it to be this trashy is depressing. Well... not too depressing 'cause I did get paid for it. While not as rough as the first time I got it, I don't know what's wrong with the motor yet, AAA is towing the car here as we speak. All 4 tires are cut (looks like a knife or similar), but at least the wheels are fine. Come to think of it, the scratches could very well be key marks.

It keeps getting more goofy....... Turns out the guy running the towing and impound lot needs a set of C4 Vette wheels that I just happen to have sitting boxed in storage. You already know the rest. Somewhere this is going to bite me. This kind of luck is not something that graces my household of late. Hopefully it's just a starter and the motor isn't seized. I had a little more than the $370 in the wheels, but who cares. There is not out of pocket cash expense so that's a huge plus.
It sounds like he PO’d someone pretty bad to get all of that damage. What is typical of situations like that, is putting sugar or something similar in the gas tank. Hopefully that is not the case, but it is something to keep in mind. God works in mysterious ways, and maybe that is the case here. Just stay humble and don’t get too cocky. If you make out really good on this deal, it would be a nice gesture to give his soon-to-be ex wife a little cut of any profit made. Its just a thought though.
Don’t you just love everybody telling you what to do?

Actually I do. To get other's input on a path of decision is to take a walk down the path of wisdom. I've learned more from other people's opinions than I ever did from my own. Also, if I do re-sell the car and there is any profit, I am going to give the lady a decent sized cut. I know she is going to need it. I feel kinda bad for her. Her husband was merely an aquaintance, I had always had the opinion that he treated her like dirt. I didn't tell her, but divorcing him is the best thing for her. Hopefully this will turn out to be a blessing for everyone.

I am sure it will. Triumph over tragedy is a great thing and I am sure it has a little to do with the man upstairs. I think that lady would really appreciate the monetary gesture Joe, and like they say "what goes around comes around"!

Well, at least you're getting it home. Did you get the title? Are you going to need a duplicate? I'M SO CONFUSED!!! lol

I called the county tax collector and they said as long as the buyer's name and signature isn't on the title, I don't have to get a duplicate. They did suggest that I shouldn't have a title already signed and suggested that I go ahead get a duplicate title. It's going to cost me about $20. Either this evening or in the morning I am going to dig into the car and see why it won't turn over. The starter did engage, but couldn't turn the crank. I know the battery is fresh, the cables and connections are good, so either the starter is bad (I hope) or something is preventing the crank from turning.

Keep us updated! Could you find out from the woman or the impound yard how it ended up there? Could give you some insight into what is wrong with it.

When I saw her last night, she told me that he had left about 2 weeks prior. Evidently the marital problems had been going on for quite some time. The story goes that he became physical, she got away and went to a neighbor's house and the Deputies were called. He had already left by the time they got there. He hasn't been seen since. He had left one message on her answering machine over a week ago implying that he'll never be found. So....it appears Johnny Law is after him. The guy at the impound lot told me the car was picked up in a parking lot, the tires were already flat, no tag and the local police put in a call to have it towed. The car had already been there for a couple of days before the towing company picked it up. I asked him why someone took the time to trace the car and contact me, his response was that he hated Camaros or he would have just put a lien on the car and claimed it. Instead he wanted quick cash and the room for other stuff..... well, thank you sir! This whole thing with his soon to be ex-wife seems strange. I don't understand why she would just hand over the title to me like that, it's not like she really knows me. Hmm..... I may have to pay her another visit and see what else I can find out. She is pretty attractive too. Athletic blonde, blue eyes, etc.... the only problem is that in domestic violence cases, it's a two way street. There is usually something that triggers it and rarely does it solely come from only one side.

Oh yeah.... the starter engages, but it won't turn the crank. I'll bypass the main cables tonight and see if it's a voltage problem.

Or you could just put a breaker bar on the hub bolt and see if you can turn it. If you can't, you've got an internal issue, If you can turn it the problem is the starter or a wire.

Lets hope you CAN turn it.

That thought crossed my mind as well. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen that.
