I would be careful with that goodlooking chick-it sounds like she has her hands full of problems You sure don't want them to become your problems-
No doubt there is enough baggage to shut down a UPS truck. Still....... I may just have to find out a little more. I equate it to dining at a fine restaurant. You can always browse through the menu, that doesn't mean you have to place an order. Besides, for every beautiful woman that you run across, somewhere there is a guy who is fed up with her crap. Enough for now, i'm out to the garage to see if i can breathe some life back into the Z. keep your fingers crossed for me.
I bypassed the main cables, still wouldn't turn over. Put a bar on the crank and it wouldn't turn. Checked the oil and I find that it is fuel contaminated. I drain the oil and start pulling plugs to do a compression check. I get to #5 and fuel literally sprays out of the spark plug hole. She was hydolocked! No wonder it stopped running. You can't compress fuel! Now the rotating assembly will rotate. It appears the #5 injector is stuck open. I'll continue to go through it this weekend, at least the motor isn't seized and now the starter will spin the crank. The rest of the car still looks crappy. I don't know how, but the guy managed to break the seat track on the driver's seat. I'm not sure Zaino is gonna save the paint though.
Damn, that sucks, atleast you fould the problem. I was right
Nah.... I was fully expecting mechanical interferance. The man upstairs is giving me a break after all the recent bad luck. A leaking injector is child's play compared to having to perform internal surgery. And yep... you were right about the hydolock. My guess is that I'll have it running before the weekend is up. The rest of it may be a different story.

I've been at it since dawn, she's alive........ but on life support. The #5 injector was the only one that had hydolocked the motor. I changed the oil, put the plugs back in she fired up. The #5 injector leaks, but isn't stuck open. I still can't figure out how that much fuel had gotten into the cylinder, but I guess anything is possible. She runs fair, I'm going to see if a chemical pressure clean via the fuel rail will clean them out. If that doesn't work, Kevin...........
It's not burning oil, no knocks, just erratic fuel . Oh... and he broke the trans mount too.
It never ceases to amaze me how other don't take care of their machinery. This car appears to have years worth of accumulated dirt and crud and it had only been maybe 6 months ago that I sold it to him in extra clean shape. The scratches are definately key marks. Some went through the clear only, a couple went deeper. I'll just have to see how it turns out with touch up and wet sanding, it's not going to be something that I will want to do a whole paint job with. I'll keep you guys posted. I did find a nice silver chain and eagle medallion between the seat and center console though. Not my style, but hey.... it's a freebie.
