    Anybody want to pay $20 for a Fernco connector?

    I can't believe these idiots who try and rip people off by reselling "over the counter" parts as some sort of custom item. Here's a guy who is selling $6 Fernco couplings that can be bought in Home Depot, for $12 + $8 shipping:

        I will sell the Free ram air mod "KIT" it will cost $20 + shipping

        I will sell a razor blade and directions to cut open the air box.

        I should be able to pull in a pretty good profit!

        I guess it takes all kinds to make the world go 'round.

            I sent the seller an e-mail... he has removed the photo of my engine.

            I guess the seller isn't the idiot... if he can make more than $10 profit off people who don't know better, he's just a crook, not an idiot.

                  Timelord - I am refering to the Free Ram-Air mod on the LS1's.

                  It was one of the first mods I did, basically because it was free!

                  It does make a difference, and you can find directions for it at Install University

                  click on "Install Documents", then "Free Ram-Air"

                    Ah !! Okay,I thought you were talking about open air box top like Injuneers as compared to mine which has the slats to direct the air.

                    Was wondering if there was any advantage to removing my "RIBS" for lack of a better word.

                      OK, I see.

                      I don't know if the "ribs" make a diference or not? I wouldn't think it would hurt anything to remove them, but don't take my word for it!

                          SLP removes them on the Firehawk. I took the cue and removed them as well. I think it increased the air intake noise a little. It's not going to hurt, it can only help. If it does add anything, it wouldn't be more than 1 or 2 HP at most. My outlook is every little bit helps.

                              I used metal shears for mine.... They make a nice, clean straight cut with no jagged edges.
