Well, I'm touched with Ken's post........
I posted here, my "Thankgiving Day letter" a few years ago, and I would like to write it down here again. Now, I should edit it, because along these years, I have been able to receive the support of many of you, yes, you. It is "normal" to receive good things from your belove ones, but receive from "strangers", this is an awesome fact that confirm the best feelings of the human kind.

I WANT TO THANK EACH ONE OF YOU ON THIS BOARD>>>

.....for to share your knowledge and experience, for your goodwill support, for to be at anyone (that owns a beautiful F-Body or not) disposal with quick and accurate advice, making a true
brotherhood. During this year we have shared the fellow F-Body dead, the fellow F-Body birth, the fellow F-Body marriage, the fellow F-Body marriage engage, a few discrepancies between fellow F- Bodies; and we have faced and will face the F-Body "extinction endaregement".
I understand now, the reason why U.S.A. has became to be a great nation, because of people like all and each one of you. This attitude of yours do not surprise me since mostly of you are or were in the Army, Navy or Marine Forces where the commitment is among all of their eminent values.
Let introduce myself....I am a mexican cardiologist, I live in a small town, at 90 miles far from Texas border (Eagle Pass), I am 44 years old and I proudly own a Pontiac Firebird Trans am 1997 A4.
Proudly owner because I had to wait 25 years (since I "met" it in a magazine's picture) to own one of the most exciting cars that the human race had built.
I have upgraded my car, it has a better performance with your
support and advice. I want to thank specially to Mr. Thomas L. Parker, Mr. Ken Collings, Mr. Joe Bowen, Mr. Curt Phillips, Mr. Fred F., Mr. "So Cal" and many others (excuse my faulty memory) whom I have had contact via e mail or into this board. I do not forget Mr. Dennis & Miss Teresa Smith from Internet Racer's Supply, Mr. Dal Slabaugh from Lambert Buick in Ohio, Mr. David and Mr. Conrad from Grob-Till Industries for their kind and prompt service to a foreigner costumer.
Thanks a lot. You ought to be proud of yourselves.
With all due respect that you deserve
    Happy Thanksgiving Day !!!!!

We all experience some hard knocks in life. Obviously some more than others. I have always felt that it is not so much how well you overcome these adversities that makes you a better person, but how much you learn and apply that which you have learned to your life.

I've also had my fair share of "humbling" experiences. And all the while during those experiences, I was basically hating life and myself. But then I would stop and and think to myself, "Man, this really made me look at my life as a whole in a completely different light." This is where you can become wise.....By listening to your heart and listening well. I still screw up and do stupid things sometimes (get that part from my borderline insanity ), but I never fail to learn something valuable from those moments. Friends and family are also a key part to this learning curve.

I guess what I am trying to say is that I am thankful for the ability to find such strength and support through my friends and family no matter how far away or no matter whether we have met face to face.

There are several of you on here that I consider to be very good friends (you know who you are sucka's ) even though we have never met. I find that to be an astounding testament to the people on this board.

I am thankful that this Thanksgiving, my wife and I will be spending the day with my family. I am living in Canada, so this is the first one in three years that I have been home for this day. I am thankful for my wife and that we have been able to turn an internet romance into a happy, fun, loving marriage. I am also thankful that after living in Canada for the last almost three years, we will be moving back here to Texas, my home...no matter where I am living. We have looked at houses while we were down here and pretty much have the neighborhood picked out where we are going to buy a house. I can't wait!
I am also thankful that God has seen fit to keep my family safe and well through my dad being laid off from his long time job, and for letting my wife and I be able to live comfortably where we were and still be able to own my Camaro! I gave up two of my bass guitars, alot of my furniture and other posessions, my job, etc. to move to Canada, but the one thing I wasn't going to sell was the Camaro. I have my priorities. Anyway, yeah basically I am very thankful that I have never been without. I have always had a place to live, food to eat, and clothes to wear, even if at times they didn't seem up to par.
Lastly, I am thankful for the men and women who are in other parts of the world fighting for this country and for those who have gone before us in the ultimate sacrifice for this country. God bless 'em, and God bless all of ya'll. Have a very Happy thanksgiving, guys! Love ya's!
