how can you find out what kind of tires your car came with

look in the glove compartment, there should be a sticker with all the options : if it says QLC on it ,you dont have the speed limiter
I am not sure if QLC means no limiter at all or speed limiter set at a higher speed

I just checked and I couldnt find the sticker Is this information on the VIN?

On the inside of your driver's side door should be a sticker - it should list the tire size/rating on there. If it shows the tires as 245/50/ZR16 you have no limiter.

It said 245/50/ZR16 but if it has no limiter then what was it that I felt, It felt like a limiter.

Sounds like your car is missing a bit - probably want to check plugs,wires, and opti. Could also be fuel related - bad fuel, fuel pump. Hard to say - should not cut out at 130 - you do not have a limiter. Besides I do not know of any limiters set at 130.

I've read before on fbody.com some guys were talking about having a limiter at 130 or 135 thats the only place I've heard of that could that be what you hit?

Im lost, but it doesnt really matter because im not going to be going that fast anyhow. I usually drive the speed limit or 5 over.

Stock I hit 160-161 there was some sort of artificial limiter there,[non drag induced]

With the reprogramed PCM and all limiters modified or removed it went faster[how much I don't know]

When I installed the 4.10 and later 4.11 6th was much more useable,speedo wasn't calibrated so I don't know if it would have gone faster.

Now have recalibrated speedo with A4,will try and keep you posted next spring!!!
